A word from Mia

Many of you may be suprised that I just turned one month old and I am already composing my second blog update...Lets just say that when the Dr. told my parents that my height and weight were both in the 15th percentile for my age group but my head size was in the 50th percentile, the Dr. basically served a notice to the world that I am pretty smart. If you listen to my Mom and Dad, they will also tell you how beautiful I am as well, but I don't want to brag too much! ;)

In my first month of life, I have had many visitors. Poppy Parfitt and Aunt Anne came from Ohio two weekends ago and we had a good time. Mom and Dad were able to catch up on the latest family news and I was able to bless all with my big blue eyes and my full diapers. I was successful in wrapping my Poppy around my fingers and my aunt Anne didn't even stand a chance.

This week I am really busy running around Denver with my Mom.

She took me to a playdate as you can see from the earlier post. On Wednesday I get to see our family friend Nora. On Thursday, my Mom is taking me to her bookclub meeting to meet the group. Finally, on Sunday I get to go to my new friend Isabella's 2nd birthday party. Isabella and her mommy and daddy came over last Sunday and had lunch with us. Isabella really likes our dog Ivy and could not get enough of her. In about two years, I will put some pictures of me riding Ivy on here. A pooch rodeo will surely be entertaining for all.
As you can see, my life has been busy lately and I am excited for every new day. My Mom is the best ever and I love that she gets to spend so much time with me. My dad is still a blathering fool, and tells every person that will stand still long enough how wonderful I am and how beautiful, precious, perfect and blah blah blah I am. I think it is safe to say that he is simply smitten with me. However, I do have to give him credit for having a great chest to sleep on every morning. His chest is not as comfortable as my Mom's chest and it does not have all the amenities, but minus the fur on it, it makes for a great pillow.

As I wrap up this post, please remember to leave your comments because I like to know who is visiting our page and I would like to look back on all the comments my friends and family have left once I get to be an even bigger girl!!! Also, if you click on the pictures in each posting, you can see a larger version... Ciao for now.

Mia
