Let the Festivities Begin!

Lou and I spent the Memorial Weekend in Ohio for a very special celebration! My sister Anne GOT MARRIED!!! YEAH!!!

We are both so excited because we LOVE her fiance (now Husband)!!!

I flew in last Wednesday and was honored to attend the ceremony. They had a very small intimate ceremony at the Courthouse with just me, and Chris' two children, Hayden and Ivy. After the ceremony the 5 of us headed to Applebee's for lunch!

Then on Saturday they celebrated by having a backyard BBQ with friends and family. Lou was able to come into town for the weekend, so after picking him up at the airport we headed to the newlyweds house and helped them get ready for the big wedding.

I was in charge of helping with the decorations and thanks to Martha Stewart come up with quite a few ideas. My sister was going for a red, white and blue theme since it was Memorial Weekend!

For those of you that didn't know I am trying to teach myself how to sew....it seems to be a harder task than I thought, but I have been working on a few small projects...one of them being a red, white and blue bandanna tablecloth that I made for the wedding. It turned out OK (not great) but it did look nice on the table! The rest of the bandannas Ivy and I used to decorate the remaining tables!

Overall, Anne and Chris had a nice turnout, great weather, good food and yummy drinks!!

Congratulations to Anne and Chris Delaney....Lou and I are so excited to have a new brother-in-law and a niece and nephew to welcome to our family! :)

We will be heading back to Ohio in September for our next wedding Labor Day weekend, for this cute couple!! We can't wait!! :)
