Our sweet loving, yet sassy pants little girl is 4!
This is the first year that Mia officially decided what kind of birthday party she wanted to have; even what color cake she wanted! I guess you can officially say, she isn't a baby anymore. Our little Mia is an opinionated, smart, empathetic, growing 4 year old now.
This last year Mia's imagination has grown by leaps and bounds, she use to have an imaginary leopard who lived in our house, but for the last year Mia's best friend has been Peter Pan. Mia comes up with amazing stories about her adventures with Peter Pan and flying to Neverland. We also find that when things are amiss it is more likely Peter Pans fault than Miss Mia's fault! Peter is to blame for messing up her room and he is also to blame when things are missing.
Our caring and empathetic little girl seems to think that a Band-Aid heals all, thanks to her Ninny! If she even thinks you have a boo boo she quickly will run and find a Band-Aid and give you a check--up. Her babies at times get band-aids and are known to get the pukeys so she is quick to grab them her pink pukey bucket and nurse them back to health.
Mia has thrived in her preschool and loves to see Miss Jessie and her classmates twice a week. Mia has always loved arts and crafts and now she gets to make such special projects at school. She can count to 13, spell and write Mia, Eli and Mom, she can identify a pattern, has learned lots of new songs and at times you can catch her singing them to herself around the house. She loves Friday show and tell and gets excited to find something to share that starts with the letter of the week. One of her favorite things she has done was a science experiment where they put raisins in sprite and watched what happened. Her teacher tells me how Mia is so sweet and caring towards the other students and is always hugging them and at times even planting a big kiss right on Miss Jessie's lips.
Our little monkey LOVES to "snuggle up" with us in our bed or with her Papa when he comes to visit her. For awhile Lou and I would wake up to find our little monkey asleep at the foot of our bed! She has a tendency to wander into our room and climb into bed without us even noticing. We were able to stop that habit with a few bribes of ice cream cones if you stay in your own bed all night; but occasionally she will still sneak in and snuggle with us.

Some of Mia's favorites right now are: her doll, Faith, painting, reading book and memorizing the stories so she can read them to us, school, riding her tricycle, movies, dress up, anything sweet to eat, chocolate milk and hotdogs!
Mia weighs 31.2lbs (25%), is 39.5 inches (50%) tall, wears a size 9 shoe, size 4t clothes however the pants are huge on her waist. Mia grew 2.5 inches this year and gained 4 lbs!

Wow, she is a very fun 4-yr. old. She loves to talk about what she does, and is definitely a morning girl. When I am there she and I sit and have breakfast together. She enjoys hanging with me while I drink my coffee, and recently she informed me she learned to eat eggs, and now loves oatmeal. So, grandma made oatmeal every morning, and some toast with butter and honey. I must say, a good combination. Glad I could visit for your birthday Mia, and meet "Anna" at your party. love, Grandma
