Our sweet Ivy has been slowing down the last year. She is 10 years old and has been a rambunctious lab with a sweet demeanor. She may drive us crazy on a daily basis by always being under our feet or digging holes in the backyard, but all she wants is some love. Mia and Eli both have a special place in their hearts for Ivy. Mia now asks for Ivy to sleep in her room with her and she gives Ivy her own nightlight at nighttime so she won't be scared.
It is not uncommon to find one or both of the kids laying on Ivy when they are lounging on the floor. As frustrating as it can be at times to have a dog with 2 small children, I am glad that our kids have had the opportunity to love and bond with Ivy.
Love Ivy....she is so sweet and gentle. Both of the kids are lucky to have her, and I can tell she loves her babies. AND, I do know she is happy when grandma comes to stay....we play catch in the back yard and I always make sure a treat finds its way to her.
