Frozen Princess Party

Like all other little girls, Mia chose a Frozen birthday party this year! We decided this year we would keeps things easy and small. Mia picked a few little girls she would like to invite over for cake and ice cream, but little did she know that Mom and Dad had a surprise for everyone!

Ninny and Grandma flew out to help Mia celebrate her fourth birthday.  They helped turn our house into a Frozen ice castle complete with an Olaf in a jar of snow!

I decided I would make Mia's cake, so Ninny, Grandma and Daddy all helped! The bottom layer was a blue cake, the middle layer was purple and the top layer was white. It definitely wasn't the prettiest cake, but it was made with LOVE and Mia thought it was the best cake ever so that is all that matters!

Little did Mia know, but Mom and Dad's surprise was that Princess Anna was on her way to our house to surprise all the little girls! She came with fairy dust for magical wishes, read them stories and then ended by having a sing-a-long of Let it Go and some other Frozen songs. The girls all sat quietly and listened to the stories and sang along, but then Princess Anna had to catch her carriage and get back to the Castle!

Eli seemed to think that the whole Princess party was a little bit too girly, so he would only sit with Princess Anna if he could have his fire truck in the picture! :)
Overall, the party was a success! It was the first year since Mia was born that we didn't have a blizzard the weekend of her birthday, in fact we had 70 degree weather and all the kids were able to play outside and enjoy the beautiful Colorado sunshine in February.

Happy 4th Birthday to our sweet little monkey, Mia!
