11 Month Update

Favorite Food:  Cheez-it's

Favorite Book: That's Not my Puppy

Favorite Activities: Clapping and blowing kisses

Miss Mia is quickly approaching her first birthday.  This last month we have noticed quite a few changes.  She is definitely growing! She feels heavier and is getting taller, her hair is growing at a rapid pace and her shoes no longer fit her feet!

In the last month she has learned how to play peek-a-boo with a blanket, clap and she got her 6th tooth.  She has taken a step on her own here and there and we are waiting for the time we put her down and she just takes off.  She can stand alone without holding on to anything, bend down and pick something up and stand back up all by herself.  She loves to shake her head no-no when she shouldn't be doing something, but then she proceeds to do it anyway!

She cuddles with her stuff animals now, she will give them hugs when she holds them.  She is still obsessed with Ivy, she is the first person Mia looks for in the morning and she calls for her when Ivy is outside.  She has learned that she can climb on top of Ivy to get up on the couch and poor Ivy just lets her.

Mia continues to chatter all day long, she has the sweetest little voice and she likes to whisper which is pretty cute.

We are currently weaning Mia from her bottles.  She is very particular on what cup she will drink out of; she will drink her formula from Nuk cups only and she will drink water from sippy cups with straws.  We continue to introduce more and more table food and recently I have started mixing some cows milk in with her formula.  I am hoping by her first birthday we are done with bottles and formula.

Lou and I are both excited to celebrate Mia's upcoming birthday. It is hard to believe a year is almost past.
