Aunt Amanda and Aunt Callie's Visit

Mia is about to become overwhelmed with all her summer visitors...to start off the summer she got to meet her Aunt Amanda and Aunt Callie.  They both flew out for a long weekend to visit with their brother and Mia. 

We decided to try out the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs! I was told all about these crazy giraffe's that you can feed and I knew we had to try it out.  And they weren't kidding these giraffe's had the longest tongues I have ever seen. Mia was impartial to it all but I am pretty sure we all had a nice time. And I couldn't leave without getting Mia a giant stuffed monkey...in case you didn't know Lou and I call Mia monkey or monks for short and I am pretty sure all little girls need a stuffed monkey!

Today we attempted a Rockies game, but Mia decided she wasn't that interested and was going to b e a little stinker so Mia and I came home and Amanda, Callie and Lou stayed at the game.  We are waiting for them to have us come and pick them up because then we are headed to Jazz in the park for an evening full of Jazz music and a picnic for dinner. Lou and I have always wanted to check Jazz in the Park out and in the three and a half years that we have lived here we haven't made it, so I am praying that tonight we actually can get there and enjoy it! Good thing Mia is napping right now!!! :)
