Lou and I have been busy spending our weekends getting small and some big projects done around the house. I have had quite a few weekends off lately and have recently found out that when I accepted the new CNC position that I was no longer required to work weekends!!! YIPPEE!! The only downfall is when the baby comes and I go back to work, it will work best for not having to use as much day care to work every weekend....which just plain ole sucks. So until then I am basking in the enjoyment of not working weekends :)
Anyway, we have hung the living room curtains, I am working on a picture wall in the master bedroom, I am almost completely finished in the nursery!! Only have to hang the mirror and set up the mini fridge and then we are done. Lou has been busy working on getting our new water softener installed...he is painting the shelf that will go in the spare bathroom and we hung a new shower curtain in the spare bathroom. Since we moved in, Lou has been using the spare bathroom and I have been using the master bathroom, well the time has come for us to merge into one bathroom...YIKES!! I got rid of some of my bathroom "stuff" and was able to provide Louis with two of his very own drawers in the bathroom! Big accomplishment for a girl:) Now the spare bathroom will actually be a guest bathroom/baby bathroom! I thought it would be easier to leave the infant bathtub and the baby's bathroom essentials (yes an infant already has bathroom "essentials") in the guest bathroom and not have to move it in and out of the shower to make room for Louis.
So all these house "chores" might not seem like a lot to you all, but imagine being 36 weeks pregnant, you can hardly breathe because your baby likes to keep its foot on your ribs, when you bend over you get either heartburn or reflux or if you are really lucky you get both at once and then tell me that what you really want to be doing is chores! Really I want to be sitting my ass on the couch watching Teen Mom 2(in case you are out of the loop..this is the best trash/drama show on MTV right now and I LOVE it!) However, even when I am watching TV I find that my mind is racing with all the things I "have" to get done before the baby comes, so up I go to start a new project! Can anyone say "nesting"??!!
Once all our little projects are done around the house I will definitely post some pictures so you all can be included!
One quick baby note: We had our 36 week appointment today, peanut's heartbeat was 150-155, good and strong. My blood pressure is stable and everything looks good, when I asked Dr. Weister if he thought I would go another 4 weeks, he kinda chuckled and said there is no way to predict that! We go to the doctor weekly so back next Monday for another quick BP and heartbeat check. Dr. Weister doesn't check to see if I am dilated until 38 weeks, so we will not know if we have made any progress for another two weeks....However, I must say I seem to have more and more contractions as time goes on. Nothing consistent so I assume it is just more and stronger Braxton-Hicks!
So lets take bets.....what day do you think the baby will arrive and are you guessing boy or girl?? Leave us a comment with your answers!
P.S. I am guessing Super Bowl Sunday...which is February 6th and my verdict on boy or girl is still out...tends to change weekly/daily/hourly! However I did have my first dream about the sex of the baby last night and I dreamt it was a boy!!
I'm guessing girl...just based on the heartbeat. Also, I think you'll have this baby by the end of the month. I'll vote January 27. :-)
ReplyDeleteJanuary 27...that is so thoughtful of you!! I tried for the full moon last night but that didn't work!! :)
ReplyDeleteCassie couldn't get her comment to post...so I am posting for her! She voted February 3rd....boy!
ReplyDeletehey there....at first i thought boy, but now I feel girl...I am thinking it will come right around that due date, so I am saying February 12....my new mini video camera will be ready to record all of the cute baby memories....love to all, anxious grandma
