A Change in Plans

I was scheduled to work all weekend long, which yes is crummy, but it is part of the job. I went into work Friday night only to discover my left eye was super sore....thinking that it was a corneal abrasion I headed home Saturday morning got into bed and thought it would be fine when I woke up.

Unfortunately, I woke up with excruciating pain in my left eye and my wonderful husband drove me to urgent care only to find out that I have pink eye!! YUCK!! What 29 year old gets pink eye???

So....a change in plans. I cannot work with pink eye since it is so contagious so I have been home all weekend, which OK I must admit is nice!

So what did I do with my unplanned weekend off??? Lou and I hung a big flower planter in the front house and we made our own compost bin. We found the directions off a blog I follow (Young House Love)and we put one together. We have to wait two to three months before it will be ready to use in our lawn but I am pretty excited. I am purposely searching our fridge for food that I can compost!!

Don't get me wrong, I have been spending time on the couch with goop in my eye but I can't let the whole weekend pass me by!
