Summertime

Long time no blog!Have I been too busy to blog....No actually just tired and too lazy!

So let me catch you up!!

Lou and I spent a week on the beach in Emerald Isle, North Carolina with my mom, her husband, my sister and her husband. It was a nice relaxing week of laying out in the sun, eating, playing games and one crazy game of putt-putt. Do I have pictures of our trip....NO! I was too busy soaking up the sun and relaxing to get the camera out....The few pictures we did try to take didn't turn out because the humidity fogged up the lenses :)

Lou and I then drove from North Carolina to Ohio with my sister for our friend Jill's bridal and bachelorette party. We had a nice party in Parkersburg, WV and Jill seemed to have a really nice time and received some nice wedding gifts.

All and all it was a long, jam packed week of vacation, but it was nice to get out of Colorado and spend some much needed time with family and friends.

Since our return home we finally got a new roof on our house....for those of you that didn't know we were hit by a huge (golf ball size) hail storm in May...yes May! Our roof was completely ruined as well as some damage to the outside of our house....so after dealing with our insurance our new roof was finally placed this week. Since both Lou and I are working nights it was not fun to try and sleep during the construction. On Friday I was laying in bed cursing the roofers in my head when I hear Lou snoring...I think to myself, "how in the world is he sleeping through this?" Well after a little investigation I notice that he has EARPLUGS in!!! :) Do you think he offers any ear plugs to me??? NO! Silly man!! It actually wasn't that bad and I was able to get some sleep and since they were coming back Saturday morning to finish and I had to work Saturday night and Louis did not he offered me his earplugs....how sweet!!

Other than the new roof and our fun, but exhausting vacation we haven't been up to much. I am headed back to Ohio in two weeks for a week of rest and relaxation and Jill's wedding and Louis will be meeting me there for a long Holiday weekend.

We have both decided that we have traveled enough this year! I have been somewhere every month this year! We are getting a little bit tired of the traveling...so we are making one last quick trip home for Thanksgiving and then that is it!!! Next year we are going to stay close to home and invite people to come and visit us!! :)
