So we came home and Lou planted a Japanese Cherry Blossom tree and a Bartlett Pear tree. They are just babies, but I can't wait until out tree produces some pears. It will probably take forever, but still I am excited. Our Cherry Blossom is already getting some pretty little pink flowers on it.
Miss Ivy has a new habit of jumping over the fence into the neighbors yard....what she does it hops up on the back wall and just leaps right over! So we thought by planting the cherry blossom tree in "her" spot we might prevent her from jumping....well NO SUCH LUCK!! I caught her the other day in the neighbors yard...silly little girl! Eventually when our tree gets big enough she won't be able to get back there...man I can't wait for that day!
As for our fruit and veggies, as you can see they are still on our patio waiting to be planted. Lou is not very trusting of the Colorado weather and is convinced we will still have another snow or frost so he is waiting to plant our raspberries, blackberries, lettuce and tomatoes until a later day. We are praying that our trees will survive!
So pretty! I'm glad to know your "child" hasn't dug them up. :-)
