2013 in Review

Mia the beginning of 2013

Mia

This past year Mia has gone from officially being a baby to a toddler because she is potty-trained! My mom always told me they were babies until they were out of diapers!  Mia attended her first school "party" last Valentines day and she is happy to have returned to Ms. Kristen's school this month. Mia has become more interested in painting, coloring and crafts; she likes to make "projects" and will now ask to make certain people pictures.  Mia still LOVES to be outside and play at the park. She likes to do everything by herself; Little Miss Independent!  Mia's imagination has grown by leaps and bounds. She has had an imaginary pet leopard that we will hear walking on the ceiling, occasionally Captain Hook will show up at our house and she now engages in role play; making food in her play kitchen and dressing up.  Mia continues to love to play with her dolls especially her goofy doll, she is quite the little mama!

Eli the beginning of 2013

Eli

Eli has gone from an immobile infant to a running toddler this year! Eli knows how to get what he wants by flashing his adorable smile that includes a small little dimple! Eli has learn to talk and a few signs.  Eli is a sweet little man who LOVES his sister and watches and learns everything that she does. Our little guy remains a very happy boy who seems to just go with the flow, not much bothers him.  He has a mild obsession with electronics including their cords and he likes to figure out how things work.

Lou and Kate

Lou remains in the Security department at UPS and went to Dallas this December to deliver packages. I have been working part time weekend night shift the last year and although we don't have much time off as a family, the schedule has allowed me to keep Eli home with me and out of daycare! I feel very blessed to be able to stay home with my babies as much as I do. Lou works very hard to help make that possible so I really appreciate all of his hard work.

This year we look forward to a few vacations: Ohio, Asheville North Carolina and a family trip to Florida to see the Beach! We wish everyone a happy and healthy 2014.
