Favorite Activities: Sitting up like a big girl now! Talking incessantly, Riding on her Poppa's Shoulders
First of all, it is getting harder to take Miss Mia's pictures every month, she is now more interested in the sticker on her onesie and watching Ivy than posing for the camera. What an ornery little girl!!
I have noticed in the last couple of weeks that Mia has been progressing by leaps and bounds. The biggest news is that she has TWO teeth!! She cut her bottom two teeth in one week, poor little baby! She was a little cranky but handled it really well. Now when she gives us that big goofy smile you can see her two small bottom teeth. It may be the cutest thing ever!
She also can sit by herself like a big girl for several minutes, eventually she will topple over, but we can sit her on her mat with toys and she actually will play with them. She has been becoming more and more interested in toys. She will pick them up, transfer them from hand to hand to examine them and then they always end up in her mouth. She LOVES her board books, she opens them and looks at them and will now really listen to a story at nighttime.
Mia also has learned several new sounds in the last two weeks, she babbles constantly. She will say ma-ma-ma-ma which I like to think she is calling for me!She can say na-na-na, da-da-da and lots of other sounds. I don't think I will count this as her first word quite yet, but I am pretty sure it will be coming soon.
Our little girl is also in LOVE with Ivy. She will give her huge belly loves when she comes into the room, she will bust out the biggest smile when she sees her, and Mia will out her hand out to pet Ivy or let her give her a lick. Mia enjoys watching Ivy fetch her toys, actually Mia finds it quite entertaining.
I would have to say that this is a very fun time with Mia, she is super interactive, very busy and interested in everything that we are doing. She loves to spend time outside with us on the patio and likes to watch her Poppa mow the grass.
