In the last six months Mia has become more independent. She wants to do everything herself, such as; buttering pancakes, pouring milk and anything else she sees us doing. I am certain her favorite words are , "no" and "mine." Mia's vocabulary has grown by leaps and bounds and everyday she surprises me with a new word. She can string 2-3 words together and some of her favorite phrases are, "I get you" and "come on." Mia also screeches, ALL the time! It can be ear splitting at times! She can be very dramatic!
Recently, Mia started preschool and attends an in-home preschool two days a week. Mia loves Ms. Kristin and her friends. When I pick her up she runs to give me a big hug and then turns around and hugs her friends good bye. She also comes home from school with little projects that she makes, which I love!
Mia has become very interested in the potty and some days refuses to wear a diaper so we wear little undies. She tells us when she needs to go potty but usually it is after the fact. It will be nice when she completely grasps the concept.
Lately she is interested in Disney movies and would watch the same movie over and over if we let her. She enjoys Lady and the Tramp, Winnie the Pooh, Finding Nemo, The Lion King and Rio. She loves to dance to the songs and watch all the bright colors!
Some of Mia's favorites right now are: elephants, movies, Mac and cheese, goldfish crackers, Nutella sandwiches, her nighttime dream lites, her baby dolls (who she breast feeds and changes their diapers, these babies poop more than any other babies I've ever seen!) and of course dogs!
Mia wears a size 6-7 shoe, size 18 month pants which still fall off, size 24 month shirts, size 4 diapers, weighs 24 lbs and is 34 inches tall. Her hair has still never been cut except for the one bang trim her daddy gave her when she was 9 months old. Mia is full of energy and love! She still gets excited to see her momma, daddy, brother and ivy every morning when she wakes up. She is a stubborn yet loving girl. Mia loves to sort and stack items and help with Eli.
Some of Mia's favorite words and sayings are:
Don't touch
See you later
Here you go
I know
Oh cute -one of my favorites!
Okay
See - when she shows you what she made
Paper
Where'd I doe
Songs Mia can sing:
Twinkle twinkle
Wheels on the bus
Hickory dickory dock
This old man
Itsy bitsy spider
Bye bye song
I was so happy to make Mia's birthday party this year. She has some fun friends, and her party was so fun with all the balloons floating around the room. Her birthday cake was very yummy, and her choo choo dress was very cute. I love you Mia...I'll be there for birthday number three. Love, Grandma Hollen "Ma Ma"
