Our little baby is getting so big

We have been debating about what to do with Mia and her crib before the new baby arrives. We have been wanting to transition her to a big girl bed, but have been putting it off. Mia has been trying to learn to nap on just a mattress on the floor at Jackie's house and has been having a rough time, so we thought we would help Jackie out. So.....today was the day! We took the side off of Mia's crib and turned it into a big girls crib!!

I was worried that she would get out of bed and we would have to put her back 40 times, but so far she has stayed in bed. It might have something to do with the fact that Mia also has her first fever. She has been running a fever off and on all day. She has been whiny and clingy but still a pretty happy little girl. I called the doctor and they said it is probably just a virus and to let it run it's course. I am giving her Tylenol to help reduce the fever and she inhaled a Popsicle which she thought was fantastic! I on the other hand am praying that she didn't just stay in bed because she didn't feel well!! I will keep my fingers crossed that she keeps up the good work an goes to bed this easy every night!

Update: Mia did stay in bed all night! She fell out of bed once in the middle of the night so Lou engineered a way to put up a small rail around midnight to help prevent this. Afterwards, the only time she got out of bed was this morning and she ran straight into our room to get me. As for the fever, we were up about every four hours and this morning she woke up without a fever, hopefully it stays away!
