Update

It has been awhile since we have blogged so I thought I would let you all know what we have been up to! Mia is growing and learning new things everyday :)

Some of Mia's new tricks are:

- running....everywhere!
- opening and closing doors
- repeating words that we say
- sleeps with a big comforter in her crib
- loves to kick and throw balls
- still LOVES to dance
- she can wear her hair back in a pony now!
- likes to try and dress herself
- likes to hide and come out and say "boo"
- going downstairs
- sits on potty
- can point to her ears, eyes, nose, mouth, belly and foot


Words that Mia can say:

- Ivy
- Momma
- Dada
- hi
- bye and buh-bye
- boo
- shoes
- thank you
- what's that?
- who's that?
- baby
- ball
- dog

Signs that Mia can understand:

- All done
- More
- Night Night
- Potty


We started Mia in daycare two days a week about three weeks ago, Mia wants to play with other little kids and we thought it would be a good way for her to learn how to share and socialize.  Unfortunately she was sick the first week and has a cold/runny nose for the last three weeks.  The first daycare ended up not working, neither Lou nor I felt as though it was the right fit for us.  So starting the last week of June I found a stay at home home with a 2 year old and 3 month old little boys who is looking for one little kid to watch.  Miss Jackie is great! I felt comfortable with her when I meet her, Logan is 2 and he isn't talking so she is hoping that Mia will help him learn how to talk!  So we are going to give it a try when they return from vacation! We are hoping this daycare option will work out a little bit better!

The weather here in Denver has been HOT! We have been spending quite a bit of time outside playing with the water table, blow-up pool and sandbox.  Mia apparently thinks that being outside = being naked,  she likes to take her pants and diaper off when we get outside!

As for Lou and I we have both been busy with work.  We have finally decided to finish our basement so we are getting ready to get that project started.  We have decided to make it one big family/play room with a bathroom! We are both pretty excited and it should be done before the end of the summer.  We are also on the hunt for a new car!

The nugget is growing and starting to become more and more active.  It definitely doesn't move as much as Mia did but it is starting to move more and more.  The bump is growing :) I will post a picture soon, Cass!
